Assessment Centers: A variety of testing techniques which allow talents to demonstrate, under standardized conditions, the skills and abilities crucial for occupational success in a specific job. General Information for Assessment Center
Our company has used the assessment center methodology to select, evaluate and develop individuals for various positions. The Assessment Center method is unique because it combines standardized procedures, in which competencies for a specific position are identified and assessed using both individual and group simulations and activities.
Each Assessment Center we conduct is tailor-made with respect to individual client needs and goals.
Talents are observed and evaluated on their performance against competencies/attributes in several exercises by a team of trained assessors, using a multiple assessment technique. This means that the feedback provided to an individual participant is based upon pooling of information, multiple observations of assessors and consensus decisions.
Design of an Assessment Center
- Establishing a Design Team – The design team includes professional trainers from ACE’s and our partner LeaderShift’s Teams
- Development of exercises - Based on the gathered information in the preparation stage we propose and agree together with you, the number of competencies that will be measured in the assessment center. We ensure that sufficient emphasis is given to those criteria which emerged as most important for success in the target job position. We develop precise measurement system and ranking scales. We develop tailor-made specific activities that are similar to the real working environment and the responsibilities of the managers in the company both now and in the future. These activities can include: Group Discussion; Written/Oral Input; Role Plays; Case Studies; Presentations and other.
Execution of an Assessment Center
- Usually it takes one or two days /8 hours per day/, depending on the criteria which have to be assessed and the design of the center
- Talents are divided into groups of maximum 6-9 people
- The Assessment Center is facilitated by experienced professional and trained assessors from ACE’s and our partner LeaderShift’s Teams.
